Join AJP-NYC for a conversation with Leonard Petlakh, an experienced Jewish nonprofit executive who serves the Jewish community in professional, academic, and lay capacities. Leonard will share his insights as a Jewish nonprofit executive and leader, from tips for success to challenges along the way to changes and trends in Jewish communal life. AJP-NYC Board member Dan Fast, Northeast Regional Director of Birthright NEXT, will facilitate the dialogue, which will be followed by audience Q&A.
RSVP is required - space is limited! Reservations will be granted on a first come, first served basis. Kosher dietary laws will be observed.
More about Leonard:
Leonard Petlakh served as Executive Director of the Kings Bay Y since 2006. The Y serves children and families in the Sheepshead Bay, Marine Park, Homecrest, Midwood, Bergen Beach and Mill Basin neighborhoods. During Leonard's term, the Y has also added branches in Windsor Terrace and North Williamsburg. In addition to his Executive Director role, Leonard is also an instructor of Jewish history at Hunter College and Vice President of the American Zionist Movement. Leonard received his B.A. from Hunter College and his M.B.A from Baruch College. He was born in Minsk, Belarus and immigrated to the US in 1987.
